In 1989 the Channel Arts Association (Charity No. 900612) leased the former ship to shore radio station overlooking Ilfracombe and the Ariel Studios was opened. It provides a unique resource for the Devon area offering rehearsal space and equipment, a digital recording studio with three ‘live’ rooms, workshops and multi media production. It has wheelchair access and kitchen facilities, great views to Wales, loads of parking and no neighbours!
