The popular Quiz evening returned to the Parish Hall on Saturday 30th January. The question masters were Jan Volley & Pat Williams. The winners were 1st Wellyfish 70 points The winning team members were Stephen Lovell, Pauline Hart, Derek Pink, David & Ann Wellings and John Spencer. Best team name was 'In It To Win It' but they didn't - not even the wooden spoons. Last night was the first time ever we had to do a tie break for bottom place for the famous wooden spoons. It was between "In It To Win It" and 'Let's Milk It! (For What It's Worth)" and the latter team lost.
The evening made £411.50 profit

On Thursday 30th April 2009 Rt. Revd. Michael Langrish, Bishop of Exeter came to West Down. He lunched in the Crown Inn with representatives of the farming community and then visited Pipcott Tea Rooms. |
